Windows 10: How to Hide the taskbar while Gaming in Windows 10

Follow the Instructions given below

method 1:

1. Right-click an empty place on the taskbar.

2. Click the bottom option, “Taskbar Settings.” The appropriate panel in Settings will open.

3. You will see 2 options: "Automatically hide the taskbar in desktop mode" and "Automatically hide the taskbar in tablet mode" Toggle one or both of these options. it will only appear if you move your mouse to the bottom of the screen.

Method 2:


If the above method dose not solve the problem try this simple trick.

Minimize the game and follow the instruction given below.



Use the keyboard shortcut Windows key + R to open the Run prompt.


1. Type cmd in the box and press Enter
2. Type taskkill /im explorer.exe /f and press Enter
3. Type exit and press Enter

When you finish your game

Use the keyboard shortcut Windows key + R to open the Run prompt.



1. Type cmd in the box and press Enter


2. Type explorer and press Enter

3. Type exit and press Enter

The taskbar will reappear.

Did you try the “Auto-hide the taskbar” option from Taskbar properties?



If you have not tried it, I would suggest you to follow these steps and auto-hide the taskbar:

• Right click on Taskbar.
• Click on Properties
• Check the box Auto-hide the taskbar.
• Click on OK.

Windows 10 taskbar won't hide

I tried the procedure above three times. I restarted in between each try. These instructions do NOT work in Windows 10.

PLEASE FIX THIS PROBELM WITH AN UPDATE.

 

Taskbar isnt hiding

The windows 10 taskbar wont (Frustratingly) hide when I do anything fullscreen related. For example, In youtube it goes fullscreen, but the taskbar wont hide. Same thing with games or anything fullscreen related. one example of "Anything fullscreen related"
is a common steam game : Unturned. the taskbar wont hide during fullscreen mode. Also, Please do not suggest auto-hide. auto-hide is as cancerous as the problem itself, In my opinion.
