Windows 10: How to increase a cursor tolerance for resizing Explorer windows?

It's extremely frustrating that when I need to resize a window, I need to be in a tolerance of 2 pixels to be able to drag and resize the window. For someone who doesn't have the best eye-hand coordination and uses a laptop screen it can quickly become a very unpleasant experience, espcially when it can mean that I actually click on something that is behind the said window.Is there any way to make sure the resizing cursor would have a slightly larger tolerance and make resizing a better experience?

Unfortunately, there's no built-in setting in Windows to specifically increase the detection zone for the window resize cursor. However, there are a few workarounds that may help:

1. Increase Mouse Pointer Size:
   
   • Go to Settings -> Ease of Access -> Cursor & pointer
     
   • Here, you can increase the pointer size, which might make it easier to hit the detection zone.
     
2. Adjust Mouse Sensitivity:
   
   • Go to Control Panel -> Mouse -> Pointer Options
     
   • Decrease the mouse speed or enable Enhance pointer precision . This can make the mouse movement more controlled and accurate, making it easier to hit the detection zone.
     
3. Change Display Scaling:
   
   • Go to Settings -> System -> Display
     
   • Under Scale and layout , you can increase the size of text, apps, and other items. This will also increase the size of window edges, making the detection zone larger. However, this will also make everything else on the screen larger.
     
4. Use Keyboard Shortcuts:
   
   • To resize windows without using the mouse, you can use the keyboard shortcut Alt + Space , then press S for size or M for move, and use the arrow keys to resize or move the window.

How to increase edge zone for text cursor

Topic: How to increase edge and corner grabbing zone for resizing a window @ AskWoody You don't need to restart pc to see the changes. Just sign out of Windows. However one major flaw with this tweak is if you use autohide taskbar increasing the BorderWidth will make the hidden taskbar stick out more.

I'm looking for this one! 1px tolerance on a frameless [explorer] window in UHD just doesn't cut it! Thank you very much Microsoft for your thoughtlessness! You know how? Please let me know. As for a way to increase the text cursor edge zones, as well!
