Hello, I'm Here To Know How Do I Increase Dedicated VRAM On My PC?Previously, I asked a question on how to degrade my Windows 11 to a dual-boot with Windows 11 and Windows 7,Because Windows 11 Literally Eats 50% Of RAM At RestI have tried some fixes like editing the Registry, Creating a "GMM" Folder under "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Intel\GMM"Then creating a D-Word 32-bit called "DedicatedSegmentSize" To 1024MB But It Didn't Work, Please I Need Help !I Have An Intel Iris Xe 4GB Graphics CardPlease, Your Help Will Be Appreciated !

Increasing dedicated vram

Some Intel iGPUs show a 128MB dedicated VRAM for the games to think that there's some dedicated VRAM to run. To my knowledge there is no iGPU with 1GB of VRAM. You must be mistaking the shared memory with the VRAM.

As others have pointed out, VRAM can't be changed for Intel iGPUs.

Could you please tell us the hardware specifications of your PC?

 

Will program work with Dedicated vram increase?

Im looking to buy/use Pinnacle Studio with a new laptop that has 128gb vram. I increased the dedicated vram to 1280 gb. I’d like to run Pinnacle Studio on it which requires 256gb of vram. Will i be ok to buy the program and run it? Or will the dedicated
vram loophole not work since the 256 gb vram is a system requirement to use the program?

Hi,

To my knowledge VRAM and RAM are two separate things which can't (easily) be interchanged between. It is likely different with what is almost an Intel SOC (system on a chip, like in a smartphone) that has an iGPU (integrated GPU) and a dedicated GPU. And normally VRAM is soldered to the integrated or dedicated GPU and normal RAM (the stick kind) can't be used for VRAM, at least without an awful lot of physical and digital tinkering that is definitely not advised.

Sorry I cannot help more than that. I'm not more experienced in this field. All I can say is drivers/Windows Updates are likely to blame.
