Windows 10: How to increase the width of the line under the taskbar icons?

I want to increase the width of the lines under the open items in task bar in windows 10...the lines that currently appear are too narrow and a little hard to see. Can this be possibly done, even if it's through the use of a third-party software? Or otherwise, is there anyway to remove the lines, and instead, show the open items the way they did in earlier versions of Windows?

How can I increase the width of the Address search bar box in IE 11 toolbar.

I'm using Google, IE 11 and Windows 10.

I remember that I use to adjust the width by clicking the edge of it and dragging the pointer.

I can't find that method and assume it must be done differently.

Currently, the size of Internet Explorer 11's address bar is set by design. If you would like the option to customize IE 11's address bar to be available soon, we would suggest that you submit a report through our Feedback Hub to help us improve our product.
To use the Feedback Hub, kindly follow the steps below:

• Search for “Feedback Hub” in Cortana search, then launch the app.
• Navigate to Feedback in the left menu, then press + Add new feedback.
• Select the Problem button, share any details you think are relevant, and choose an appropriate category and subcategory.
• Important: If possible, reproduce the problem(s) after clicking Begin monitoring (or Start capture) near the end of the form; Stop
  monitoring when you’re done.
• Once you’ve completed the form and monitoring, click Submit.
• Click Continue using Feedback Hub.
• Click My feedback at the top, then find the item you submitted. (It may take a while to appear.)
• Open the item you submitted, then click Share.
• If you also posted in a forum thread, you can click Copy link, and paste the link in your response. (It will look like URL Manager<unique link>)
