How to initiate SSD boot from SD card?

Going a bit crazy trying to get my laptop to recognize a new NVMe SSD that I want to use in it. The Win 10 installer has no problem seeing & the laptop can access it. But the BIOS doesn't recognize the device.. so it's not bootable.

I've tried just about every BIOS setting possible.. updating the BIOS.. tried Samsung & Intel drivers, etc and pretty much concluded that this six month old Dell laptop doesn't have any BIOS support for NVMe drives which is frustrating.

Dell XPS 13 9343 laptop, BIOS ver A07 (latest)
    Samsung SM951 NVMe M.2 PCIe 3.0 256GB
    Windows 10 Pro x64

I'm wondering if I can move the GUID bootloader to a SD card or USB stick - a device that the BIOS recognizes as bootable but keep the core OS files and most of the OS writes on the SSD. In short, I'd be putting up with a slow boot from the SD card to gain the much, much faster SSD read /writes while Windows is running. There must be a way to approach this but I don't understand the UEFI boot process well enough to configure it to do this. Any suggestions?

    :)

HDD shows in BIOS but not on system

    New built computer, Win10, Hero7mobo, 4790K, Samsung 500Gb SSD, Seagate Barracuda 2Tb.

Computer runs fine and is booting from SSD but 2Tb does not show thru settings or control panel.

When started in BIOS 2Tb drive show up.

How can I initialize or format it from BIOS or if it doesn't show in Win10 ?
