    How to Install an SSD to HP Probook 4540s


    I am currently stuck in an endless loop of problem after problem. I recently bricked my old HP Probook 430 g5 and came to the old 4540s I had. It was running Windows 10 Pro but was obnoxiously slow. I got my USB flash drive with Windows 10 and attempted to install it with a fresh SSD but it didn't work at all. I got 5 caps lock blinks on selecting boot options-USB to drive with a black screen.. I tried the old HDD which was in the old system and worked perfectly fine with Windows 10 but was very slow, I got another USB to add Windows 7 on it which runs perfectly.. while reinstalling windows 10

    Sound Drivers and Switchable Graphics for HP ProBook 4540s on Win 10

    The laptop is an Intel Sandy Bridge 6th generation. It probably came with Win 10 on it. Did you go to the HP drivers page and searched for the drivers? hp-probook-4540s It has a recent BIOS F68A (2019). I suggest you update the BIOS to the latest.

    Sound Drivers and Switchable Graphics for HP ProBook 4540s on Win 10

    It came with Wndows 7. I have latest BIOS installed. As you can see on official site are no audio drivers for Windows 10.

    Issues With HP Probook 4540s and Windows 10 Upgrade

    Just Disable (Hibernation) and Fast Boot in power option

    Then Windows 10 will proper Shutdown.

    I have hp ProBook 4540s That's Why

    So no need to do other things like startup repair or reset your pc
