Windows 10: How to install Lifecam 2.0?

I cannot install Microsoft LifeCam 2.0 because I received a message that it is not compatible with Windows 10 and I need to update software. Please recommend how I can install this webcam on my PC running windows 10?

LifeCam Setup 4.25 not installing on Windows 10

I suggest you to Uninstall your current webcam and try to install 4.25 webcam,follow the below steps.

Step 1.

Uninstall 3.60 Life cam setup.

Follow the below steps.

1) Press Windows logo key +X key.

2) Click Control panel

3) Click Programs

4) Click Programs and Features.

5)Right click on the program and Uninstall.

Step 2 : Install 4.25 Setup in Compatibility Mode.

The steps to install a driver in compatibility mode:

a. Right click on the setup file of the driver and select Properties

b. Select Compatibility Tab

c. Place a check mark next to Run this program in Compatibility mode and select the operating system accordingly from the drop down list

d. Let the driver to install and then check the functionality.

Lifecam Cinema not working in Windows 10

Before we proceed, we require more information to assist you better.

• What is the make and model of your LifeCam device?
• Since when are you facing this issue?
• Did you make any changes to LifeCam prior to this issue?
• What exactly is the issue you are facing with LifeCam?

I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and check if it helps.

Method 1: Hardware and Device troubleshooter.

• Press Windows Key + X key, Click on Control Panel.
• Type troubleshooting in the search bar, click on troubleshooting.
• Click on Hardware and Sound, click on Hardware and Devices.
• Follow the steps from the wizard to run the troubleshooter.

Method 2: update drivers.



I suggest you to update your LifeCam drivers and check. Before you update the drivers, please enable the computer to get automatic updates,

You may also download the latest LifeCam and all other drivers from the manufacturer’s website and install it on your computer.

Intel Updates Core 2 Quad Q9550 to E-0 Stepping

We continue our Monday news list with another Intel story that brings to our attention information concerning the company and more specificly its 2.83GHz Core 2 Quad Q9550 chips that will move from the current C-1 to the newer E-0 stepping. The updated chips will start selling on August 22nd, featuring the following changes:

• New SSpec and MM numbers for the converting products
• CPUID will change from 0x10677 to 0x1067A
• Package change to Halide free package

Apart from that, the new stepping CPUs will not include any other changes. Of course, like most new stepping parts a BIOS update will be needed.
