Windows 10: How to install RSAT for W10

Hello all, I need your help to figure out why I can't have the RSAT installed on my system.

I have version 1709 x64 Fr-CA of W10 Pro.
I have installed the WindowsTH-RSAT_WS_1709-x64 update. and rebooted.
In the windows feature option, this is what I see :




At one point, I had the RAS and the AD LDS checked, but I had no tools.

What am I missing ? Why can't I have these tools ? My colleague has them...
Asked him how did he do it. His reply was the same procedure that I'm trying to do :
Install the component, reboot, go to administration tools and they should be there....

Remote Server Administration Tools (KB2693643) installing successfully on Windows 10 Build 10586 but not showing under "add/remove windows features"

I found out how to get it installed and working.

You have to have the language pack - EN-US installed first.

Then RSAT tools installs OK.

I rebooted after the language install for safe measure before I installed RSAT tools.

I admit I know nothing about RSAT. But I want to help. Besides learning something new can be fun. So, I googled for it.
I came up with this article/tutorial. The site I am giving you is very reputable and absolutely safe.

I did reinstall the MSU. It did installed succesfuly.




But I still don't see the RSAT options *cry *cry




I wonder if it's really not a windows problem. Like an installation issue or some other bug... I really don't want to go through the reinstall process again *Sad

FYI Windows is activated and here's the version of it... If that helps any *Huh

 

On an other "clean" system (no removal of HP or Windows 10 crap) and install the RSAT (KB2693643), reboot, and they are present !

So, what, in between those 2 computers, has changed ?? *Banghead

@lx07 This is well worth trying !!
I found a "work around" It's called ADSI Modification. I need to input my domain admin credentials every time I open it for it to be able to connect the LDAP Tree.

It looks like this :

 

@lx07 Language pack installed, rebooted and still no tools...
I guess I have no real choice to either re-install the system or use the work around...

You could try installing rsat again now you added language pack.

It sort of says that should work in the system requirements section here (but it is a bit ambiguous)
