Windows 10: How to install window 10 hid-compliant touch pad

So, my touchpad doesn't work. I tried googling some answers but most of them shows same answers, but the problem is when i opened my device manager i don't have a HID-compliant touch pad, I already tried updating the Synaptics PS/2 TouchPad and all but i when look at the Human interface Devices it doesent have any hid-compliant touch pay. Is this normal??is it safe to download one in the internet??

HID-Compliant touch screen

HID-Compliant touch screen is not even listed under device manager anymore after doing an update. I have Toshiba Satellite, Windows 10.

I have checked hidden folders, tried detecting for changes, updated drivers, everything. Still no touch screen. Please help?

 

turn off touch pad

Hi Brian,

You can disable Touch pad from the Device Manager. Make sure that the mouse is already plugged in before disabling the touch pad. To disable Touch pad, follow these steps:

• Press and hold Windows logo key + R.
• Type Devmgmt.msc in the Run command dialog box.
• Press Enter.
• Expand Mice and other pointing devices.
• Right-click on the first HID-compliant mouse entry.
• Select Disable.
• Hit Yes.

Touch Pad Options

Press Windows key + X

Click Apps & features

Scroll though the list then uninstall any software associated with your touch pad.

Next, press Windows key + X

Click Device Manager

Expand Human Interface Device

Right click HID Compliant Touch pad

Click uninstall, exit then restart.

Next, go to the manufacturers website, then download and install drivers specifically for the touch pad - learn how:
