    How to install xbox game pass games to HDD without changing default app install folder?


    I am unable to install Xbox game-pass game on my HDD as it insists I need to change my download location for all apps despite my HDD being dedicated for games and my SSD being for apps. I want to install games on my HDD without having to have my apps on there as well. Also I have tried to change my default installation location to said HDD but I get error code 0x80070005. I have checked I have the latest Windows update.

    Really would appreciate any help because Microsoft support are not helping in the slightest.

    Hi Ashenath,

    If you can’t install Game Pass Games on your PC, follow these suggestions:

    Check if you have the right Game Pass

    Clear Cache of Xbox Game Pass App

    Update to the latest Windows 10 version,viz v1903

    Admin privileges for Games

    Give Admin privileges for Games

    Check Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter

    Repair Game if it keeps crashing or doesn’t work

    Cannot Sign in to Xbox Live

    Xbox Game Pass PC Game Save Location

    Does anyone know where the games downloaded from the xbox game pass pc save to? When you select to install a game it asks what drive you want to save to if you have multiple. I always select it to save to my HDD and not my SSD. But I had to reinstall my
    xbox game pass app (which was on my ssd) and now it does not recognize my games and I cannot find the game files on the HDD.

    Also is there a way to tell xbox game pass for pc where to look for the files so it does not need to be downloaded again?
