Windows 10: How to issue MMC/eMMC cmd in Windows 10 ?

Hi, All. I have a notebook with Intel_N5000_CPU and Win_10.0.19044.1288, and it's hard disk is a 32G eMMCSpec v5.1. As i know, Windows encapsulate a SFFDISKSD/SDIO/MMC stack in kernel, which using SD-Bus stack. Actually i found 2 IOCTL OpCodes, which seems could issue MMC/eMMC command individually. 1. IOCTL_STORAGE_PROTOCOL_COMMAND // Also tried "\\\\.\\PhysicalDrive1" for another machine, whose disk0 is SATA SSD installing Win10, disk1 is eMMC // Both ways can read correct firmware version in storage chip through this "hDisk" HANDLE hDisk = CreateFileW"\\\\.\\Physica

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.

• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

New install Windows 10 (issue solved)

It's basically what I mentioned above, small issues here and there ,but nothing to end your day.. for the most part.

I know it's anecdotal, but for my experience 95% of the time it's perfectly fine. The issues I've run into wouldn't be enough for me to roll back , but they would be enough (had I not installed it yet) ,to avoid it for another couple weeks which is why I'm suggesting it to the OP

MMC issue

Hi Caleb, please try this:

Click your Start Button, then just type cmd

Right click Command Prompt in the resulting list and choose 'Run as Administrator'

Paste this command into Command Prompt and hit Enter

dism /online /cleanup-image /ScanHealth

When that completes, Paste this command into Command Prompt and hit Enter

dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

When that completes, close Command Prompt and restart your PC . .

Then check to see if you can open MMC
