Windows 10: How to keep files in a video project separate from other video projects?

I am using Windows 10 on a Surface Pro 5. My Video Projects folder contains a copy of every photo I ever added to a video project. Each time I added the same photo to a new video project, another copy of that same photo was added automatically to the Video Projects folder.How can I keep the video projects stored photos separated from each other so that I can delete the duplicates after my video is exported?I can't seem to find any user help for Photos and Videos functionality.Thanks!

Where are the video projects stored?

Making a video project, and it appears as if the files for that is not that easy to be found on the hard-drive. I want to exchange the actual projects with others, but two things seems to be off....

1. I can not locate the project file on the hard-drive. - Really want to get the actual project file.
   
2. When looking for this, it looks like the program is making an
   extra copy of the video files?

I want send share the project files, and videos as-is, but it seems that I can't do that?

Further more it looks like there is a loos of HD space as all the video files are duplicated?

 

Video Project Files

Not quite what I was looking for but still useful. When I say duplicate files of the ones I use in my project are created when I add them, I mean when I add say, a 15 second clip into the project library, it takes the file I had added and creates a copy of the individual video not the project and places it in a folder on my system drive. If I delete the duplicate file it removes it from my project completely. I want to make some long-term projects that take multiple files but these duplicate files jam up my drive too much for me to do anything. The folder that it creates the duplicate file in is under the path "C:\Users\(My user)\Pictures\Video Projects". Is there really no possible way to change this to something like "D:\Video Project Files"?

 

Video Project Files

I really like the video editor that comes with the built in photos app on windows 10. I've made quite a lot of stuff with it but I've realized it keeps a copy of every file I use for projects (Videos and pictures). I keeps them in a folder called Video Projects under pictures on my system drive. I don't want to have a copy of these files and I especially don't want to have them clogging up space on my system drive. is there some way I could either keep it from saving copies or just have them stored on a different drive?
