  1. How To Keep Laptop In Sleep (Without Powering Off)?

To save desk space, I bought a vertical laptop stand. I now want to leave the laptop in sleep overnight. The problem is it shuts down at some point. In Power Settings, I changed Power & Sleep - Screen - When Plugged In, Turn Off After to "Never." It still shuts down, though. What other settings do I need to adjust?

Also, a separate issue is that when it is in Sleep mode, I can no longer click my mouse or press a key to return to the desktop. I have to slightly open the laptop and reclose it. It didn't do that when I first started closing the lid.

    Thank you.

  2. sleep mode and power options not working on Windows 10

    Hi,

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Forums.

For issues with sleep mode and power options follow the steps provided below.

Run the Power troubleshooter and check.

Follow the steps to run the troubleshooter:

    • Open Control Panel.
    • Type Troubleshooting in search and click
      Troubleshooting.
    • Now type Power in the search option.
    • Click on Power troubleshooter to run.

I would suggest you to try updating the Display driver and check if the issue persists. If you already have all the latest drivers from Windows updates, then I would suggest you to visit the computer manufacturer's website, download and install the latest
drivers in compatibility mode and check.

    Hope this helps.
