Windows 10: How to know if files were damaged during inadvertently deletion?

Hello,

My PC is a Windows 10. This is an odd question. I'm copying about 6TB of data from one external hard drive to another. Instead of right-clicking to copy and paste, I accidentally selected delete! The deletion process began by identifying all the 6TB of data to be deleted but I quickly cancelled the process. I checked the recycle bin and no files made it there so I'm inclined to say that nothing was damaged or actually deleted, or even partially deleted. But is there a way to confirm this? Is there a chance that files still get removed during that "identification" process?

How do I DISassociate a file type in Windows 10?

I inadvertently associated a .lst file to open using my Adobe reader. I have followed all the steps you suggested and deleted everything listed. It still shows that Adobe is the default app to use with the file. Any other suggestions?

May we know what type of file are you trying to delete? Would it be Office documents, media files, or picture files? If you're trying to delete files for free some space on your device. We suggest to perform a Disc Cleanup. Kindly follow the steps below to

• Type in Cortana Disc Cleanup
  
• Choose the files to delete
  
• Click on "Clean up system files"

document file inadvertently deleted from desktop

I recently used Ccleaner to clean my Internet Temporary files among other, as a result in doing so, it inadvertently deleted a document file on my desktop. How do I recover it if it's possible. Many thanks for your help.
