    How to link my Computer when the serial number is "to be filled by O.E.M"?


    As of today, i wanted to link my computer to my microsoft account as to install a game from the microsoft store to my device. However, i can into the issue that i can't find my serial number, and when using the command “wmic bios get serialnumber” i get the feedback: To be filled by O.E.M. I have used another command wmic baseboard get product,Manufacturer,version,serialnumber however which does show a serial number but which does not work when filled in during the linking process. Thanks in advance!

    Serial number

    The serial number should be on a sticker somewhere on the desktop.

    You can also go into the BIOS to find the serial number.

    HP needs the serial number to identify your computer (and determine whether it's still under warranty) but neither HP nor anyone else can access your computer just by knowing its serial number.

    Is it safe to put my computer serial number into the Microsoft help app or the HP support assistant? I don't want anybody to get into my compute and I already put my serial number into the HP support site that came with my computer. If it isn't safe, what
