How to login using a password, not a pin when I can't remove pin due to error?

I would like to use my password, NOT this pin garbage, to log into my laptop. The only solution I've found to do that is to remove the pin, but on my device, it says 'This option is currently unavailable. Sorry, this pin isn't working with your organization's resources'. This is my personal computer- I don't know what organization it's talking about. When I try to click through the prompts, it tries to get me to sign in using my college email, an account which I no longer have since I graduated two years ago.

    :)

can't remove PIN due to password problem

Thanks for the response, but my problem is not the PIN, it is the request for a password to remove my PIN. I can remove my PIN using your suggestions, but will the password issue remain if I want to change other security features?
