Windows 10: How To Make A "Lite" or Modded Windows ISO. Tool + Premade Lite Win 10 ISO

Hello Friends~!

Today I want to walk you through modifying any windows iso, to strip it of unneeded programs, thus making installation a breeze!

This method uses a built in Windows feature called Dism.exe

Below is a walkthrough. If it makes sense to you and you want to see pics, video, and more, see my xda thread.

STEP ONE:

Press Ctrl + H and replace with your WINMOD folder location:

C:\Users\0110\Desktop\DEMO\MODWINDOWZ

Right click and mount your iso, copy the contents. Paste them into the ISO folder. Open the SOURCES folder and CUT install.esd, then Paste install.esd into the WIM folder. Open Powershell as admin.

To be able to see image options:

Dism /Get-WimInfo /WimFile:"C:\Users\0110\Desktop\DEMO\MODWINDOWZ\WIM\install.esd"

To export the image:

dism /export-image /SourceImageFile:"C:\Users\0110\Desktop\DEMO\MODWINDOWZ\WIM\install.esd" /SourceIndex:1 /DestinationImageFile:"C:\Users\0110\Desktop\DEMO\MODWINDOWZ\ISO\sources\install.wim" /Compress:max /CheckIntegrity

To mount the image:

dism.exe /mount-wim /wimfile:"C:\Users\0110\Desktop\DEMO\MODWINDOWZ\ISO\sources\install.wim" /mountdir:"C:\Users\0110\Desktop\DEMO\MODWINDOWZ\PATH" /index:1

To see installed apps:

dism.exe /Image:C:\Users\0110\Desktop\DEMO\MODWINDOWZ\PATH /Get-ProvisionedAppxPackages >ProvisionedAppxPackages.txt

Then Paste:

type ProvisionedAppxPackages.txt

To remove installed apps:

dism.exe /Image:C:\Users\0110\Desktop\DEMO\MODWINDOWZ\PATH /Remove-ProvisionedAppxPackage /PackageName:

Optimize after removal:

dism.exe /Image:C:\Users\0110\Desktop\DEMO\MODWINDOWZ\PATH /Optimize-ProvisionedAppxPackages

To Get installed Packages:

dism.exe /Image:C:\Users\0110\Desktop\DEMO\MODWINDOWZ\PATH /Get-Packages

To Remove installed Packages:

dism.exe /Image:C:\Users\0110\Desktop\DEMO\MODWINDOWZ\PATH /Remove-Package /PackageName:

To Disable Windows Features currently enabled on the image:

Get-WindowsOptionalFeature -Path "C:\Users\0110\Desktop\DEMO\MODWINDOWZ\PATH" | Where-Object {$_.State –eq “Enabled”} | Out-GridView -PassThru | Disable-WindowsOptionalFeature

Remove Features by holding the control key and click on all the features you want to remove, then hit ok.

To save your changes:

Dismount-WindowsImage -Path "C:\Users\0110\Desktop\DEMO\MODWINDOWZ\PATH" -Save

To build the new ISO:

Copy the ISO folder and paste it to the WORK folder.

Open command prompt in the work folder (type cmd in the toolbar):

oscdimg -m -oc -u2 -udfver102 -bC:\Users\0110\Desktop\DEMO\MODWINDOWZ\WORK\ISO\efi\microsoft\boot\efisys.bin C:\Users\0110\Desktop\DEMO\MODWINDOWZ\WORK\ISO C:\Users\0110\Desktop\DEMO\MODWINDOWZ\WORK\winmod.iso

My name is Carlo, I am also using Windows 10 pc and community member like you.

That is not a legitimate Windows ISO , it is not from Microsoft, there is no lite version for Windows 10, that may contain malware or rootkits and can damage your device. There is no key for Windows 10 Lite.
