Windows 10: How to make Cast to Device the default Audio Output? Location of Cast to Device?

I want to associate audio files, such as .mp3 and .wav with Cast to Device app. in other words, to make Cast to Device the default audio output.The volume and sound quality is higher when using Cast to Device, than Line Out cable connection.I could Cast to Device files with a click, instead of searching in the Menu.In the system Sound Mixer, the Device is not listed, so it cannot be set as the default output.In Default Apps, mp3 and wav files cannot be associated with Cast to Device, because the app is not listed too.I could try "Open With" or "Send to" the Cast to Device .EXE file. if I kne

Why can't I change audio output when cast to device?

I have a problem when I cast my streaming to a TV via WiDi, I want to change the audio out put from the system.

Steps:

1. Connect to video streaming eg. Youtube

2. Cast the video streaming to my TV via WiDi (Actiontec)

3. Open playback device and try to change my audio output from TV to my laptop

Question here:

Win10 is not allowed to change my audio output frommy TV to my native speaker

is it a bug?

 

Cast to Device (TV) fails: Unexpected Device Error

Doing a little searching reveals that the only way to cast music directly from my PC to a TV would require me to use the Chrome browser and select Cast to ChromeCast enabled device. I don't have one of those so that way is out. However, Casting to my TV using Miracast does work so is my only option. On PC Right-click MP3 file Select Cast to Device Select the SmartTV in the list Media Player launches and starts playing MP3 On TV PC desktop shows on screen Audio from MP3 is heard on TV speakers Note, if sound from MP3 plays is heard on PC instead of TV then switch the audio output from Speakers to Digital Output.

  On Microsoft Edge, open the website that contains the media (ex: video, picture, audio) that you want to cast.

  Click on the More Actions (. . .) at the top right.

  Click on Cast media to device.
  
• 
  Windows will now try to connect to your network and detect your Miracast device.

  Click on the Miracast or DLNA device you want to cast to.

  Windows will now connect and cast to your Miracast device.
