    How to make drive work?


    I have this SSD 1TB that has stopped working, it was internal and disappeared from my PC completely, I've tried many fixes and I am now trying to use an adapter to connect the drive externally through USB 3.0. The cable is connected and the drive is showing up again only in disk management as DIsk 1 Removable No Media. How can I make it work? I have already tried changing the letter, un-plugging re-plugging, changing USB ports, disabling/enabling the USB port/device and updating it.I tried sending you a screenshot but it just tells me error 404 with a big frown face.

    The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

    Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.

    How to make drive work?

    Overclock your hard drive!!!

    Heres a much easier hack that I realized quite a few years ago that really does work!

    REQUIREMENTS:
    • Hard drive with molex power connection.
    • PSU with more than 1 strand that has molex plugs on it.
    • Wire strippers, soldering iron if you're fancy, electrical tape if you're not.
    STEPS:
    • Take the strand of connectors from your PSU, and decide which one will be the donator for this overclocking adventure.
    • Cut the yellow and orange cables, then twist them together.
    • Find the power connector you've chosen as the overclocking connector, and release the orange cable from the connector. Now use your preferred method to bind them together, then place it back together.
    • Plug in a drive and feel the speed!
    Congratulations! You've just overclocked your hard drive!
