Windows 10: How to make facial recognition feature work on my Dell Inspiron 13 laptop running Windows 11?

I have a Dell Inspiron 13 laptop with Windows 11. I want to use the facial recognition feature to sign-in to my computer, but that feature is not available for some reason. I read one of the supporters on the MS Community say it was because I may have a school or work account attached to my computer, but that is not the case for me. I do not have a work or school account connection set up on my computer. Any other ideas about how I can get the facial recognition feature to work?

The only exception to this at this time is the Latitude 3470 and 3570’s which use an infra-red (IR) camera also seem to work.

NOTE: Facial recognition should not be expected to work on any other 2016 model or older Dell camera equipped systems not included in the listing above.

However, you could try to install the following.

NOTE: Some users reported that they needed to download the Intel RealSense Depth Camera Manager (DCM) before the camera worked with Hello Facial Recognition

If the hardware is not showing on the device list, it could possibly be a hardware failure, in this case, it's best to contact Dell for repairs.

trying to turn off the Facial Recognition feature for Windows Hello or for the
Windows 10 Camera app?

If you are requesting to turn off the Facial Recognition feature for Windows Hello, you can follow these steps:

• Select Accounts.
• Click Sign-in options.
• Under Picture password, click Remove.

Camera on but not allowing facial recognition on lock screen

Running Windows 10 on Dell Inspiron 13 5000 series. Facial recognition to open lock screen used to work, now can't and asking for password. I checked in Settings and camera is on for all apps. Any thoughts? Thanks.
