Windows 10: How to make icons diasapear from the desktop properly?

Hey everyone!

Firstly, what I mean in the title, is that I am looking for a way to make some apps dissapear from my desktop, but I need to be able to re-apear them later, if I need to.

So, long story short, I tried making some icons go away from my desktop by using the "properties" menu but then I couldn't find a way to restore them. Is it supposed to be like that or did I do something wrong? Also, is there any other way to clear the desktop from some icons?

Remove Linux Desktop Icons

I am not sure whether this will work (Ubuntu does not have icons like that on the desktop by default), but I suggest opening the trash bin and sweeping the icons into the window showing the trash bin.

 

Desktop Icons Won't Stay Put

Hi Laurie,

As per the issue description I understand that you are facing issues with desktop icons.

I suggest you try the following step in order to arrange the icons.

• Right click on the desktop.
• Click on view
• Check the option auto arrange icons.
