  1. How to make links stop ignoring my default browser settings?

    Hello all,

I have my default browser set to Google Chrome. Yet with some programs, like some games, if you click an option to open a website, it opens that website in Internet Explorer 11.
I know IE11 is not safe to use. It doesn't often happen, but today I had it happen twice, funny enough. First when I clicked some option in my printer's driver setup; it showed some information in IE11. I copied the link, pasted it in chrome and closed IE11.
Next, in a game. Wanted to open a digital manual and it did so in IE11 instead of Chrome.

Other links I click usually do use Chrome, so I'm confused. How do I stop these rare occasions of IE11 being opened up?

  2. Unable to set default browser

    • Does this issue happens while you try to set other browser as default too or is it specific to specific browser?

    Any browser.

Already did the steps you suggested. It's some kind of bug where it's impossible to set a default browser at all.

I heard elsewhere from one other user
that it seems to be a problem with upgrading to 10 on the SP3. Sounds very specifc.
