    How to make lower DPI, than 96 (100%)


    Is there any way to set my DPI setting lower, than 96 (100%)?
    I've read about a registry hack for 7, but it doesn't work in 8.1, so I guess it also wouldn't work in 10.

    Hi,

    The minimum possible dpi scaling for Windows 10 is 96. Changing the dpi scaling lower than that is not possible at the moment.

    If your laptop came with pre-installed Windows 10, you need to purchase a license key for Windows 7 to be able to install Windows 7 version on your laptop.

    How to make lower DPI, than 96 (100%)

    Go to Control Panel\Appearance and Personalisation\Display in control panel. Now tick the Let me choose one scaling level for all my displays. A new option appears called Custom sizing options, click on that and you should be able to specify an amount in the edit box.

    If I type in for example 90%, when I click OK, it resets to 100%.
