Windows 10: How to make NAPS2 scanner see other sizes of documents

Trying without success to get the NAPS2 scanner to scan paper longer than A3 default. So what's the trick to scan long documents?I've been into Print Server Properties, and created a new form that is 490mm long.Then opened NAPS2 scanner program, and tried to edit a profile so that it would scan to 490mm long.it doesn't matter if I make a custom size in NAPS2, it still won't scan past 420mm long. So how do I get NAPS2, or the scanner, Fujitsu Fi-5530C to scan more than A3 standard?ThanksI read that it's best to use Twain drivers, but Windows 11 refuses to let me use Twain, and disables any that

NAPS2 not scanning

Hi Everyone.

Before I updated to WIN11, I was able to scan using NAPS2. Now all I get is a message saying "scanner is offline". I have powered down my modem, I have uninstalled and reinstalled NAPS2, I have check connections, and I still get the message saying scanner is offline. I have tried contacting Microsoft through virtual assistant, but then a screen opens with the messsage "I am not the owner of the problem". My printer works fine (Canon Pixma MP560). Would appreciate any help.

I loaded the scanner program NAPS2, worked well before, but now requires a .net file my system seems not to have [V.4,0.3.30319].could not fine it in updates, yet. Error codes I now get are [9C95] and [805800C]. Not sure were to go next.

 

Scanner Twain driver for Windows 11 - or how to make Windows 11 allow custom sized paper in scanner

I'm running Windows 11. I have a Fujitsu Fi-5530C document scanner.

I want to scan some wiring diagrams that are longer than A3. Paper size is around 297mm by 479mm.

Despite setting the custom paper to 479mm long, Windows is only letting the scanner scan to 420mm long.

I went into Windows settings, and changed the standard paper from A3 to Tabloid, which is 430mm. So now I can scan to 430mm long whilst the scanner software (NAPS2) is set to 479mm.

Whilst Windows sees the scanner, I'm convinced that it's not fully set up. The Fujitsu Fi-5530C is from around 2005 perhaps, and so program software is for Windows ME and 7.

I have read that if I change from WIA drivers to Twain drivers, then it will work ok. I've tried installing modern Fujitsu Twain drivers, but Windows is blocking that. When I use the NAPS2 scanner program and search for the scanner as a Twain scanner, the program can't see it.

So how do I get Windows 11 to accept and use Twain drivers. Or, how do I get WIA drivers to accept none standard paper sizes to scan?
