what parameters exist in regedit to make win 10 file explorer reliable and response time , it seems that is doing things other than copying / renaming ,etc.

Windows 10 file explorer very slow (working on it...) issue

This seemed to help. Time will tell. It certainly is more helpful and practical than the suggestion to end toe Explorer task and start a new one.

 

Windows 10 File Explorer Slow response

Hi,

I am using a Lenova PC Machine type FOAU [ B50-30 ] running Windows 10 with all upgrades and updates installed as of Feb. 10th 2016.

Recently, within the past 2 weeks, File Explorer has started to exhibit a really slow response when selecting files either for opening or moving to files other folders by both drag and drop and copy/paste. It seems to be much worse for picture files. ( jpeg
and RAW )

I have read and tried some of the many online suggestions, including carrying out the sfc /scannow verification process, which confirmed there were no corrupt system files. I have disabled all unnecessary programmes in the start up menu to see if this would
help, but to no avail.

Looking at the amount of recent web traffic on this subject it would seem there may be a fundamental instability in the Windows 10 File Explorer Application.

Is Microsoft working on a patch for this problem and will this appear on a future update ? In the short term is there any thing you can suggest ?
