  1. How to Make Windows 10 Remember the Last Scroll Position in the Start Menu?

Is there a way to make Windows 10 remember/keep the last scroll position or focus in the Start Menu Left Pane, Program List like in Windows 7?

Currently, every time I open the Start Menu, it always resets back to the top of the list.
I know that we can just type in the name of the program to look for it, but that's not the only thing I do with/in the Start Menu. Sometimes when I need to organize the list, say put some programs into folders or vice versa, it's tiring that I have to scroll down every time I need to check how it looks.

    :)

Nice if Start screen "remembered" its position

This is not really a problem to be solved now, but a suggestion to Microsoft for a future update or version of Windows.

It would be nice if the Start screen remembered its position. For example, if I open the Start screen and scroll down to those applications that start with the letter "W", the next time I open the Start screen, it reverts back to displaying the top of the
list. It would be nice if it "remembered" I was on "W" and opened at that position.

Works for me, at least when manually started and closed.

How to Make Windows 10 Remember the Last Scroll Position in the Start Menu?

In Windows 10 the file explorer does not remember its last window position. Can this be fixed?

In Windows 10 the file explorer does not remember its last window position.

    Can this be fixed?

Other programs remember their last position.

    To reproduce:

    1. Open file explorer
    2. Move explorer window to the right
    3. Close the window and reopen
    4. Window opens on left side of the screen

EDIT: Here is some more discussion and possibly a hack to fix it:
