    How to make Windows 10 Update stop changing the size of application windows?


    Every time Windows 10 Pro version does an automatic update, the sizes of application windows are changed from what I've carefully set. The windows are always made smaller probably reset to some default size. This happens with Outlook, File Explorer, Edge, Word, Excel, Sticky Notes, and others. It is highly annoying. How can I get Update to stop doing that?

    ^This, then reboot and go to manually update windows. Find KB3035583 in the list of available updates, right-click and "Hide this update" so it doesn't get installed again next go around.

    That doesn't stop windows update from grabbing them on next run, at least it didn't back in the RTM days. It simply stops a secondary process from installing them immediately.
