Windows 10: How to manually download and install the Microsoft Flight Simulator Launcher

I've already ran setup and installed Flight Simulator from DVDs but as I had already redeemed my code against my MS account, when the installer came to that step it's asked me to redeem but as it was already redeemed I could not progress to install the launcher which is why I think I need to manually install it.In my MS account Flight Simulator is showing as "PreOrder" which seems strange.Please help - very frustrated.

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.



I suggest you to completely uninstall Microsoft Flight Simulator and check.

Refer the steps below to uninstall.

• Press “Windows key + X”, select Control panel.
• Open programs and features.
• In the list of installed programs, select Microsoft Flight Simulator, and then click
  Remove.

Note: If you have earlier versions of Flight Simulator in the list of installed programs, you will have to remove them in addition to Flight Simulator.



Reinstall the Flight Simulator.

“Flight simulator 2020 standard redeemed code OK , MFS launcher install, NOT in Microsoft store library, Reinstalled FS twice now to no avail”

Purchased a DVD version of PC Microsoft Flight Simulator Standard edition 2020 with activation code.

1. Loaded all 10 DVD disks. 93GB and 59119 files
   

1. Redeemed activation Code.
   

1. Started Download of software launcher which was unfortunately interrupted before all download completed.
   

Now when I try and reinstall using DISK 1 it boots into Microsoft Store.

No Microsoft Flight simulator software launcher in library.

Uninstalled and reinstalled again - same problem

However got an email notification from Microsoft on product purchase.

HELP !!!!!!!

Could you please perform the store clear cache, download and re-install the flight simulator. and verify if it will function this time without crashing

Steps:

1 Close the Microsoft Store app if currently open.

2 Press the Win + R keys to open the Run dialog.

3 Type WSReset.exe into Run, and click/tap on OK.

4. Uninstall the Microsoft Flight Simulator

5. Open Microsoft Store app. download Microsoft Flight Simulator

6. install the Microsoft Flight Simulator

7. run as admin the Flight Simulator
