Windows 10: How to minimize desktop icons?

    How to minimize desktop icons?


    I have more icons than the desktop screen can show. I can see there are some icons hiding to the right but there is no way to scroll further right. Minimizing size to small icons does not help. I am in the process of merging folders but I may have a long way to go before I can finally see all of them at once on the same screen. How do I resolve this?

    Remove Linux Desktop Icons

    I am not sure whether this will work (Ubuntu does not have icons like that on the desktop by default), but I suggest opening the trash bin and sweeping the icons into the window showing the trash bin.

    Hi Laurie,

    As per the issue description I understand that you are facing issues with desktop icons.

    I suggest you try the following step in order to arrange the icons.

    • Right click on the desktop.
    • Click on view
    • Check the option auto arrange icons.

    Your suggestion does not work. It did work on Windows 7.
