How to modify registry to disallow Reset This PC, Safe Mode with Networking, and Restore Point

Hello,I am aware that this is a strange request, but it is an important one nonetheless, and one that I know is possible but have forgotten how to properly execute. Without getting too much into the details, there are several software packages that run undetected in the background of Windows that I need to be able to ensure cannot be circumvented through the use of Reset This PC, Restore Point, and Safemode with Networking. The purpose of this is to modify / corrupt Windows system / registry files to the point thus that these features cannot be re-enabled short of booting into Windows install

    :)

    Want to stop safe mode

    Hi Kay,

Wrong configuration settings may be the possible reason why you're unable to get out of Safe Mode. To troubleshoot your issue, we suggest that you follow this methods

below to exit Safe Mode in Windows:

    Method 1:

    • When in Safe Mode, press the Win+R key to open the Run box.
    • Type msconfig and click Enter to open the System Configuration Utility.
    • Under the General tab, ensure that Normal startup is selected.
    • Under Boot tab, make sure that the Safe Boot option is unchecked.

    Method 2:

    • When in Safe Mode, press the Win+R key to open the Run box.
    • Type cmd and wait for a minute.
    • Press Ctrl + Shift then click Enter to open an elevated Command Prompt.
    • You will now have to use the BCDEdit /deletevalue command.
    • Type the following bcdedit /deletevalue {current} safeboot
      and click Enter
    • Restart your computer and check if you have booted in Normal Mode.

Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For
added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, refer to the following Microsoft Knowledge Base
