Windows 10: How to move app downloads from C: to D:

I have a Dell with a 256 GB C: drive and a 1T D: using Windows 11.I have been regularly and habitually moving or requiring downlods to be on D:However, I have been getting warnings from WIndows that C: is full. It isHow else can I move things so C: is not always limited in its ability to function where WIndows is located?*Moved from feedback.

How to Move Files (not Apps) from C to D?

I’m asking this common question because of the many different explanations on how to move data files (not apps) from C to D. Some instruct use Windows Explorer, right click Folder > Properties > Move Location; others suggest drag and drop, or copy and paste from C to D. Some say to use command scripts or registry changes, or Partitions. What is the safest way?

• Do I also need to make any changes to my Shell Folders and/or User Shell Folders too?
  
• Finally, for the Folder Change Location method, some instruct to move location to D:\Documents, for example. Why wouldn’t the path be D:\users\NAME\Documents?

App download keeps defaulting to D drive instead of C drive.

If I do your first suggestion so I no longer see the D drive will that let me download and install the Nox player on my computer and will it automatically go to my C drive instead of the D drive like it has been doing?

If I do your second suggestion again will I be able to download and install Nox player on my computer?

And finally, which is the best all-a-round option?
