    How to move windows from one drive to another or move Program files off C drive


    Hi, my pc has three drives a 2TB HDDD, a 112Gb 2.5" SSDC and a 500Gb m.2E drive. Stupidly I downloaded windows onto my C drive and all of my program files are stored on there too. it has got to the point where I have no storage left on that drive despite having nothing else on there. I tried to update steam today and it said there wasn't enough storage on the drive to update. Can anybody tell me how to move some or all of the files off my C drive to my E/D drive, copy and pasting doesn't work.regards, Ben

    I've already done your suggestions....... yep, need a bigger drive for C: suppose!

    compressing c: drive?

    It shouldn't hurt anything other than performance. Windows will still work just fine, so will all of your programs. However, load times will probably take longer due to the need to decompress the files before use. I'd do it for storage drives, but I dont' think I would do it to the C: Drive.
