  1. How to not automatically run apps with administrator?

Its really confusing but ill try to explain as best I can. I was having internet problems the other day and ended up selecting an option in either my WIFI settings or security settings, that meant everything would run and launch as admin. Come a couple days later and I'm trying to launch an app called FiveM that can not run as administrator. But when I run FiveM it crashes, and states it cannot run under elevated privileges and to not run it as administrator. But when I check the compatibility privileges of the app, the choice to run it as admin is not selected, so I'm struggling to find this

    :)

Win8.1 can "Run as administrator" be deactived?

Just like Windows 7 you have two options.

1.) Turn off User Account Control. This will automatically run everything as administrator.
2.) Use the hidden True Administrator account. This will break most of the Apps in Windows 8 though(some consider this a good thing*Laugh :laughHow to not automatically run apps with administrator? :).

The option to run as administrator will still be there, but you'll never have to use it.

Mail app will not open on 10041.

    Hello Adam,

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it. How to not automatically run apps with administrator? :)

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

    • Open powershell as administrator
    • Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
    • Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

    Windows Apps automatically closes

    hey,

I suggest you to perform the following steps one by one and check if it helps.

    • Running the App troubleshooter
Run the App troubleshooter named Windows store Apps from control Panel and check if it helps.

    If not then,

    • Perform System File Check (SFC)
    Follow the steps:

    a. Press “Windows Key + Q” to open search Bar.

    b. Type cmd without quotes in the search box.

    c. On the left pane, right click on the “cmd” option and select “Run as Administrator”.

    d. Type sfc /scannow’ without quotes and hit enter.

    If still not helps then,

    • run the System update readiness command. It detects incorrect manifests, cabinets or registry data, it may replace the incorrect data with corrected version available. Follow the steps.
    • Press Windows key + X.
    • Click command prompt (Run as administrator).
    • In the Administrator: Command Prompt window, type the following commands. Press Enter key after each command:
    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth

    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

To close the Administrator: Command prompt window, type Exit, and then press Enter.

Reply back with the results would be happy to help.
