    How to open files that were migrated from Windows 8 to new computer with Windows 11?


    I copied my complete C to an external drive, then uploaded the drive to to my new computer with Windows 11 pre-installed.When I look under This PC, I see a file 8GD3v12_TOM which is apparently an INP file?, 1022 files, 1 folder, read only.How do I open this file, pick and chose what I want to keep, photos, documents, and programs and ?, then scrap the rest?All help most appreciated. I'm apparently in over my head...

    Windows 10 Tweaks

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
