Windows 10: How to open multiple windows of Edge in a Kiosk user account?

We have a bit of a unique setup where the best solution would be to have a PC setup with an kiosk or Assigned access account, using this option in windows user control: This PC will be connected to 2 monitors, and we want each monitor to have it's own Edge window with a different website on each. However, I have found that as of Edge v89 or so, it is impossible to create a new window while logged into a kiosk account. I have also tried doing a multi-app kiosk with no success. In multi-app kiosk mode, it is possible to create multiple windows; however, you are not able to drag any windows onto

Windows 10 kiosk mode edge chromium multiple windows

I started having an issue with my windows 10 kiosk that are launching edge chromium.

On startup it open the page as directed in the settings but then a second edge chromium opens over the top showing the edge home page like you get when clicking on a new tab.

I have tried deleting and setting up the kiosk account again but nothing seems to prevent the second edge window from coming up.

This is why I had suggested earlier to try a different user account. If there isn't one, create it, then try to open Edge. This step is to see if the current user account is corrupt.

You can also try running SFC, to see if it has any effect on opening Edge.

Microsoft Edge Kiosk - Open Links in New Window

Hi I'm setting up Edge to replace internet explorer as our go to Kiosk solution.

We have a particular website that we load in full screen, we remove tabs and the ability to "escape" from the website rendered in full screen.

Usually people browse this site, there are links on the site that open pdfs in a new window when clicked.

Setting up in Edge with Fullscreen Kiosk mode mostly produces the results I'm after but when you click on a link that takes you to a pdf it opens within the edge window and you can never navigate out of it or leave the page. Is there a way to force edge in Kiosk mode to open links in a new window?

I've looked at the GPOs available and can't find this setting, I've also looked at Configure Microsoft Edge kiosk mode | Microsoft Docs to no avail.
