  1. How to open PDFs in Acrobat Reader and NOT in Chrome

I always want to open all my pdfs in Acrobat Reader, but, Chrome has made that incredibly difficult, esp. for a non-technological person like me. OK, I'm techno-phobic. I have discovered that the old methods do not work. New instructions say I have to have an app. I have Acrobat Reader on my computer. Is that an app or do I need something else?

Then what do I do? Very plain English in step-by-baby-step instructions would be welcome. Why do these (insert a very long string of expletives which the Code of Conduct prohibits me from using) people do this sort of thing? Have they no compassion on techno-phobes??? If Dante were alive, he'd have to add a deeper level to Hell than any yet conceived for these (insert as above) people, if they are people, which I doubt.

Any help will be deeply appreciated.

    Jim

  2. Open pdf files with Acrobat Reader

Searching for open pdf files with Acrobat Reader only returns results for previous versions of Windows, nothing specifically for Windows 10 Preview. When I click to open a pdf file, the new window is still part of IE 11, it is not opening the file in Acrobat
    Reader.

I use it a lot for statements and other documents, I need to be able to easily save and print.

    Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

  3. Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Not Letting Other PDF Viewers to Open PDF File

A friend of mine called me asking for help converting an important document from a PDF to a DOC. I go to a website to convert the PDF and when I open it it gives me this...

. But when I open it in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, it shows the document normally. It only opens in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. I don't know what was done to the file before it was given to me and I have tried printing it to a PDF and opening it but it gives me the same error. Does anyone have any ideas?

How to open PDFs in Acrobat Reader and NOT in Chrome

I want Adobe Acrobat Standard X to be my default not Reader

Hello there. Thank you for trying to help me figure setting Acrobat Standard X as the default for pdf's instead of Adobe Reader.

I followed your steps and unfortunately it does not change the default to open with Acrobat Standard X; it still opens it in reader. I can right click on each individual pdf and make it open with Acrobat Standard X but that is very time consuming and not
what I used to have to do. Any other suggestions please?

    Thank you,

    Chasity Distasio
