Windows 10: How to open URLs directly from file explorer?

How to save links in windows file explorer and just click it to open the webpage directly in the browser?When I save the URL as a html document it opens the link itself instead of the webpage of the link!

rar files opens directly without save

Hello friends,
I've one query..
by mistake i selected option "open this type of file directly" while downloading one rar file from my browser.

After than if i click on any rar file link or attachment in forum, regardless of size it opens directly without asking to save to any path option..

how to revert this change?

Thanks for the help. I tried the suggested steps. It did not work for me. When clicked on pdf files, now it opens with acrobat reader as opposed to Edge. But then I still cannot open pdf files directly form zip file.

However, I would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below.



Method 1

Restart Windows Explorer

1. Click on Start, type in “Task Manager”
   
2. Now go to Process tab. Click on Windows Explorer and
   Restart.
   
3. Then check the status of the issue.
   
4. If the issue still persist, try with the method 2.
   

Method 2

I suggest you to try the suggested steps from the article Fix File Explorer
if it won't open or start and check the status of the issue.
