The Microsoft Compatibility Appraiser & Program Data Updater are by design, these programs will not function unless you volunteer for the Customer Experience Improvement Program.

Windows 10 Customer Experience Improvement Program

I have opted out of the Customer Experience Improvement Program but I have found that the 4 tasks in the Task Scheduler have been running every day including the Consolidator and Uploader.

So, have I actually opted out of send MS everything or is this another button that doesn't do anything except make us feel like we have control?

Another related question Microsoft Compatibility Appraiser & ProgramDataUpdater are running as scheduled tasks but shouldn't run if I opted out of the Customer Experience Improvement Program, which I have already stated I have. In fact, I never opted
In so why gives MS? Do you just ignore the setting on our PC's? Totally unacceptable.
