How to permanently delete a hardware device even if it's always connected from Windows

Hello everyone. This is my first post. I've got a HP Pavilion DV6-6b13ss, which is about 11 years old. It runs Windows 8.1 64-bit. My problem is I can't use Windows on it because it has switched graphics, Intel HD 3000 and AMD Radeon HD 7690M XT, and the Radeon seems to have the typical problem of the chips from that time... So every time I tried to install the Catalyst driver, it just would get black screen during the installation. I figured out that disabling it on device manager would let me use the computer, as the Intel HD is perfectly working, but once rebooted, it only lasts a few secon

  2. Taskbar bug: switching to another window -will not appear at the front

Follow either of these steps to fix the issue with the Active window hiding behind.

    Method 1:
I suggest you to disable window by hovering over it with the mouse and check if it helps. To do so I suggest you to try the below given steps and check if it helps:

    2. Select or click Ease of Access.
    3. Click or tap onEase of Access Centre.
    4. Click on Make the Mouse Easier to Use was uncheck Activate Window by hovering over it with the mouse.
    5. Check if issue is resolved.
    Method 2:
I would suggest you to completely uninstall the touchpad driver and reinstall it. Kindly follow the below given steps.

    1. Press “Windows key + X” and click on “Device Manager”.
    2. In the list of devices, you should see the touchpad drivers.
    3. Right click on the device and then select "Uninstall".
    4. In the uninstall dialog, make sure you select the option to delete the driver package from the system. This causes the driver package installed earlier to be deleted.
    5. In the Action menu of Device manager, select “Scan for Hardware changes” option. This will cause the device driver to be reinstalled. Once the driver is installed, close all windows and restart the computer.

  3. Error code 45 hardware device is not connected

    Hi Anne,

Sorry for the inconvenience that you are getting error message:

Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)

To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer.

This error occurs if a device that was previously connected to the computer is no longer connected. To resolve this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer.

    A. We need to check if there is any corruption with the hard drive that you are using.

Try these steps to run the hardware troubleshooter and check.

    • Type troubleshooting in the search bar and click on troubleshooter.
    • Click view all in the left panel. Select ‘Hardware and devices’ and follow the on-screen instructions.
    B. You may also try the steps to uninstall the sound, video and controller drivers and check.

    1. Press "Windows Logo” + “X” keys on the keyboard.

    2. Click on “Device Manager” from that list.

    3. Right click on the driver and then select “Uninstall”. On the un-installation window, if you have an option: “Delete the driver software for this device” Follow the on-screen
instructions to complete it and then restart the computer if prompted.

    4. After the restart, please go ahead with the next steps to install the latest drivers and check if that resolves the issue.
