Windows 10: How to permanently disable Microsoft audio home theatre effects?

Everytime I restart my laptop- Microsoft audio home theatre effects take over settings and enable by itself.I'm fed up of constantly turning off sound enhancements setting because after turning off and on my laptop- the effects come back like if they were compulsory. Is there any remedy for such an intrusive and annoying behaviour?

Method 1: Using the Registry Editor (For Windows Home and Pro)

1. Open the Registry Editor:
   
   • Press Windows + R, type regedit, and press Enter.
     
   • Confirm any prompts to open the Registry Editor.
     
2. Navigate to the Windows Defender Key:
   
   • Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender.
     
3. Create a New DWORD Value:
   
   • Right-click on the Windows Defender folder, select New, and then DWORD (32-bit) Value.
     
   • Name the new value DisableAntiSpyware.
     
4. Set the Value:
   
   • Double-click on DisableAntiSpyware and set its value to 1.
     
   • Click OK to save the changes.
     
5. Restart Your Computer:
   
   • Restart your computer to apply the changes. Windows Defender should now be permanently disabled.
     

Method 2: Using the Group Policy Editor (For Windows Pro and Enterprise)

Permanently set default audio device

I understand that you need assistance to set your internal sound card as the default playback device on your Windows 10 computer.

In this scenario it is required to disable the audio device of the docking station. Disabling the audio device for the docking station will enable the internal sound card. To do so,

1. Right click on Volume icon on the taskbar > Open
   Sound settings.
   
2. Click on Sound control panel option and click on
   Playback tab.
   
3. Right click on the audio device for docking station and click on
   Disable.
   
4. This results in enabling the playback device to internal sound card.
