How to Permanently fix resizing of computer window every time on restart

After upgrading Windows 10 to Windows 11 in 2024 on HP All-in-One, computer began resizing downsizing the screen instead of full screen view after one of the regular updates. Now, always have to go to Settings, Display, Resize from 640x480 to recommended size, select Keep and then every few minutes it keeps trying to downsize it making the screen jump but keeping the selected size until I log out. Then next log in it is the same routine.

    :)

How to Permanently fix resizing of computer window every time on restart

Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the time to respond How to Permanently fix resizing of computer window every time on restart :) Best regards.

And thanks for the tip of that program, I'll have it on my list.
