Windows 10: How to play audio via both HDMI and audio jack?

It seems that, with Windows, audio can only be output via one device at the same time.So when I plug the HDMI cable into the TV, and the 3.5mm jack into the hi-fi system, I can only have the sound played through one or the other, but not both.I have tried following suggestions found online to 'listen' to the `stereo mix` but realized those are flawed as they create a feedback loop and don't work at all in Windows 10, though reportedly did in Windows 7.I found a third-party app that could play the audio to multiple devices simultaneously, but the output was not in sync, so there was an echo,

Thanks Deepika for the fast reply. So, after reading the response, I totally get what you mean. The problem that I want to fix, however, is getting the television speakers to work. I do have an audio cable that connects from the PC to the HDTV. So, sound
should be going through that and into the television and producing audio. Basically, the speakers are inside the TV. Here's the problem though. Since I'm using an HDMI cable, the television uses that as the audio input. Since no audio is coming through it,
as DVI does not support audio, it has no sound. The television detects HDMI before it does the audio jack, which means that even if sound is coming through the audio jack it won't play it. I'm not sure how to solve this problem. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

HDMI to DVI Monitor Will Not Play Audio

This is complicated. I started out having a simple television monitor, connected to a VGA cable to my computer. Recently, I decided to have dual monitors. I got an HDMI cable and a HDMI to DVI converter because my computer doesn't have a HDMI port. After
plugging everything in, setting up, I had two monitors: the television, and a secondary screen. Putting audio through right from the pc works, or simply plugging earphones into the audio jack on the computer. The television, however, does not play sound anymore.
I updated, disabled, did everything for the drivers. Didn't seem to work. I'm not sure if I should still connect the audio cable from the television to the back of the computer, since HDMI cables support both audio and video. When I right click playback devices,
and check disabled and disconnected devices, HDMI does not show up at all. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Do I need an audio cable, or is the HDMI cable enough?

I'm currently using the IDT High Definition Audio CODEC on an HP Pavilion Desktop Computer.

HDMI audio

If the Digital Output Device or HDMI is not an option under the Playback tab. You can run the Hardware and Device troubleshooter by following these steps:

• Type Troubleshooting in Search or Cortana.
• Click on “View All” in the top left corner.
• Choose Hardware and Sound.
• Click Playing Audio to run the troubleshooter.
