    How to prevent access to file properties?


    Hello,I'm working as a pc technician at a school and I've encountered a little "genius" kid who added a cmd command to the file destination of the browser shortcut in the properties settings that if you open the browser from that shortcut it will display a custom message that he wrote and after 3 seconds the pc is shutting down.I want to prevent access or set a password for a user without admin rights to the properties settings of a file shortcut,and I want to set it to all files and not just a specifec file like the browser shortcut.Or maybe a third option is to hide the properties, because I

    Preventing access to modern app

    Ive been tasked with preventing the children from accessing instagram. I've got it listed in my windows hosts file and internet options/security/restricted site but the windows 10 app is still allowing access. Any suggestions other then deleting app which can just be reinstalled?

    File history on USB security user access

    Hi,

    To isolate this concern, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

    • Open File History folder.
    • Select all the files that you don't want to be accessed.
    • Right-click on the highlighted files and choose Properties.
    • Go to Security tab.
    • Click on Advanced.
    • Select all the user account that you don't want to have access on your File History folder.
    • Click on Disable inheritance.
    • Lastly, click on OK.

    accessing file properties latitude and longitude

    Hi --

    I'm trying to access (copy and paste) file properties latitude and longitude.

    In windows 10 explorer when you right click an image (photo) file and select "properties" and click "details" you can see the latitude and longitude properties. These, however, are not available to copy/paste. When you try it, nothing happens.

    Also in windows 10 explorer, "View Tab > details view > Add Columns" has a long list of file properties but latitude and longitude are not there. Rats.

    I have some small experience with PowerShell but have no success in developing a method for this task.

    Any ideas?
