Windows 10: How to prevent explorer assuming you want to display audio as music / media view! I am a...

By default Windows assumes you want to see any audio files in a folder containing only audio as music.ie Track #, Title, Album, Contributing Artists.I am a sound designer and composer .. my entire computer is full of folders that contains thousands of folders containing just audio: None of my folders should be viewed as CDs - they don't contain music - I don't want to see music as music I want to see them as files. I've tried using the folder properties/customize at all levels of explorer from the drive, root folder, subfolders, multiple selected folders to select Optimize this folder for Gene

As there is no Open Button in the error display Window, I suggest you to click on the Right Arrow button in the bottom left corner and check if it helps or displays the full error message.

I suggest you to run the Internet Explorer Performance troubleshooter by following the steps provided below:

• Type “Troubleshooting” in the search box and press Enter.
• Click on “View All” in the top left corner.
• Click on “Internet Explorer Performance” and follow the prompts for troubleshooting.

• Open the File Explorer and try to search for files.
• In the toolbar, open the View tab and click List
  to change the view.
• Once changed, close the File Explorer.
• Open the File Explorer again and try to search to see if the setting has been retained.

Windows music media files.

I appreciate if you could answer to a few questions to narrow down to the issue.

• Are you trying to play the music's directly from the CD?
• Are you using Windows Media Player to paly the music?
• Did you try a different player?
• Did you try copying the songs to a particular folder and checked if the issue persists?
  

As an initial troubleshooting step, I suggest you to run Windows Media Player Settings troubleshooter and check if that helps to resolve the issue.

• Type troubleshooting in the search bar.
