    Hi,I'm running Windows 10 on an SSD, and have a large HDD for cold storage of media. The hard drive reads and writes fine, but when it should be idle, it's constantly audibly running. Resmon shows no activity on the drive letter while it is plainly audible, and even un-assigning its drive letter the closest I can do to unmounting doesn't stop it. I've disabled indexing and *tried* to whitelist it in Defender, and, failing that, disable Defender, but the awful thing always comes back.How can I keep Windows from constantly crawling my HDD? Or maybe nuke Defender altogether? I'm this close to s
