Windows 10: How to prevent my screen to turn on in the middle of the night during MS windows updates

My screen "wakes up" in the middle of the night during MS windows 10 updates. It wakes me up.

How can I prevent MS windows to turn on the screen during updates?

Laptop turning on in the MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT

hi, yesterday i woke up in the middle of the night and decided to turn over on to my other side, but then i noticed my laptop had just started turning itself on. I'm very sure I put it into shutdown that evening. and my monitor was turned off too. It didn't
connect to the monitor by itself, so it displayed everything on the actual laptop screen. It turned on in the normal way:

-black background, white circle with text in the middle

-lock screen/sign in screen

-no error messages

I didn't know why it was doing this but was sleepy so just shut it down, and went back to sleep.

Can someone help me?

 

Windows wakes up in the middle of the night

Hi Summit, the task UpdateOrchestrator -> Reboot is disabled now. Windows will silently re-enable it at some point, so this doesn't prevent Windows from waking up in the middle of the night. Regards, Wessel

 

Windows updates forcibly rebooting my PC at night

I am running Windows 10 Pro, Build 16299.

I'm not sure why MS thinks it's okay to forcibly reboot people's PC in the middle of the night...but for years I was able to prevent this by turning off my windows updates. I also stop and disable the Windows Update service. But over the past few nights, my windows has automatically pulled down updates and forcibly rebooted in spite of the fact that my updates are turned off and the service stopped. I have lots of apps running so this is very disruptive.

I can only assume that they found some sneaky new way to do this without my permission because it shouldn't be possible for this to happen, given my current settings.

How can I prevent it in my current version of windows? Thanks in advance.
