  1. How to prevent Windows 11 from automatically changing screen resolution?

Every time I turn on my 2nd monitor and choose extend mode, it changes my Laptop's resolution from 1920 x 1080 to 2560 x 1440 reccomended and makes everything extrememly tiny. It says there is a custom scale factor of 175%, and it won't let me change it?? but this is a fresh factory reset, so there shouldn't be any custom scaling set. I need either a way to turn off auto resolution or a way to set resolution and lock it in permenantly.

    :)

  3. After adding a work account, the resolution randomly changes automatically.

Windows 11 itself doesn't automatically change the screen resolution, regardless of the version or whether you're logging in with a personal account or a work/school account. The automatic alteration of screen resolution is likely due to other factors. Additionally, the Windows Pro edition allows personal account logins unless your organization restricts it to work/school accounts.

Now since your personal computer only allows logging in with a work/school account, it's evident that your personal computer has become quite similar to a work device. Your organization might have imposed various limitations on your device and work account, and even if I were to suggest troubleshooting steps, these limitations imposed by your organization might prevent you from performing those actions due to potential violations of their security policies.

Certain actions involving work devices and work accounts might be within the realm of your IT administrator's control. Therefore, I recommend reaching out to your IT administrator again. If they're unable to resolve the issue, suggest that they pose their query here: Windows 11 - Microsoft Q&A
