    How to prevent windows disconnecting wifi during internet outage.


    When I lose the internet connection windows decides it will try and fix this itself by mucking about with the wifi connection.That in turn disconnects me from my local network.How do I stop windows doing this. I've had a look around the setting and saw nothing obvious. Google searches are so full of actual internet and wifi issues that it's hard to isolate a search to just this specific scenario.

    • If you have an identical laptop try comparing the wifi and security settings of the one that does not disconnect with the one that does. If you find any differences change the settings of the one that does not work to the one that does.
