How to prevent windows from switching to newly connected audio device

Hiya,So, I know this is a known thing with Windows, but I can't really find anything that fixes it and the posts I found were a little old so maybe there's some new info?I don't think the question needs much explaining but I'll give an explanation anyway. So, when you connect a device to your Windows PC in my case Windows 10 that has any sort of audio capabilities, be they audio playback or audio recording, Windows will automatically set that newly connected device as your default audio playback/recording device, no matter what you were using before. Before you ask, no, this has nothing to do

    :)

    • Click Select Playback devices to select your preferred/default speaker.
    • Click on Playback tab to see the list of the devices.
    • Right-click on the preferred device then select Enable.
