    How to prevent windows reboots?


    I run a Linux VM on my Win10 machine at work and plan to travel for a week or more. I’d like to be able to connect to the Linux instance, but if windows reboots then obviously it won’t restart my Linux instance automatically and I need to ask someone to turn it back on. Is there anyway to prevent updates? I can configure our firewall however I like or even reduce all disk space if needed... thanks!

    Windows Update - Prevents Appliations from Loading

    Update KB4015217 currently preventing a number of applications in our environment from loading.

    We have to perform the following steps to get the applications to run:

    Uninstall Windows Update KB4015217

    • Windows Update
    • Update History
    • Uninstall Update
    Reboot

    Run the “Windows Update Hide Tool”

    Hide update KB4015217

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
